Owain: Year 3 & 4

A big welcome to the first Year 3 and 4 blog of the new school year.

We have all settled into our new class well.

This week we have been learning all about how to write a set of instructions. We all had a go at making a sandwich! This showed us how important it is that each step of the instructions are very clear. Plus it was yummy!

In our Maths we are concentrating on our number work at the moment. This includes place value, odd and even numbers and ordering numbers. This week we have been doubling and halving 2 and 3 digit numbers.

The whole school had a treat on Thursday with a visit from Steve, the African drummer. The workshop was so fun, active and the children were able to put together an incredible performance for the parents. All of the teachers were very proud.

We also had a visit from PC Mark this week. We spoke about bullying, what it means and the importance of speaking to trusted adult so that they can help you.

It has been a lovely start to the term. On Tuesday we are hosting the celebration event to launch the Nannerch iBeacon app at 6pm in the school hall.

The children have all worked together to create something quite wonderful! We hope that you can make it!
