Well, Christmas is quickly approaching and the Blwyddyn 3 a 4 elves have been busy at work!
This week we have been very completing our HOT WRITE for two pieces of work which the children have planned, written and edited over the last couple of weeks.
The first was our diary of a day in Kenya, based on our visitor Neisha's time with the Masai tribe and secondly was our instructions for a game we made up, using materials which are easily found in Lesotho.
The children chose whether to present their final pieces of works using a pen and best handwriting, or whether to use our digital skills on an iPad or laptop.
On Monday this week we had a very special visitor for the day: Calum's tortoise Frank! He was very well behaved and we all loved spending some time with him and learning some interesting facts. He was much quickly than we thought he would be too. He spent the day in a new specially made home, created by Callum and his Dad. Miss Roberts was very impressed!
Also this week there have been lots of craft making going on for the Christmas fayre which is next Thursday. Each class are in competition with each to raise the most money, in order to win a Christmas treat! Year 3 and 4 have researched and chosen some lovely items to make and sell. We have our fingers crossed that everyone will like them!
Final preparations have been made for our Key Stage 2 nativity which is on Wednesday. The children have learnt their lines well and should continue to practice the song lyrics as homework. We are looking forward to welcoming family members to watch our play. It is always a very special day!
I hope you have a happy and festive weekend, before a fun filled, busy week!
