Notes from the Head 7th June

I hope everyone had a lovely holiday. The children came back to school with lots of news to tell. This is when Talking Partners comes into their own so that everyone can have the opportunity to share their news. It was fantastic to hear that some pupils have had the honour of being mascots at the cricket. I had my first experience of Croeso Pawb on Wednesday. I was really impressed at all the activities organised for the pupils to be able to understand the messages of Pentecost. We had pupils involved in drama activities which were performed for an audience of parents and grandparents at the end of the afternoon. The pupils had lots of lovely art and craft activities for them to complete during the afternoon. Foundation Phase had a lovely time, I understand why Mrs Daly was worried about wearing white on Croeso Pawb day!

They then celebrated the Church’s birthday by blowing out the birthday candles on the cake, and then best of all tucking into the cake!

The end of the week was just as exciting as the beginning. Our junior friend’s from Nercwys came to visit. They joined in with the sporting activities that School Council had friends, practicing team sports, whilst keeping ourselves fit and healthy.

We also spent time visiting the stations of the Lord’s prayer in Church with Our Nercwys friends.

What an enjoyable day.
