We had a very successful training day for both Federation schools, held in Nannerch. The staff worked hard all morning, and were rewarded by some lovely sandwiches and cakes prepared by Janice the school cook.
This was a good opportunity for staff to update existing skills and gain work alongside other experienced practitioners.
On the second training day everyone worked extremely hard in their classes to make sure they looked bright and welcoming for the start of a new academic year. Mrs Biddle even forced her other half into the loft to gather materials to create an ‘African Hut’ designed to engage the children with the new theme.
The Year 3/4 class base looks very smart with its new carpet, Miss Roberts enjoyed a hop and a skip in there before reinstating all the furniture.
Many thanks to parents, the children all looked the part for the return to school with new uniforms, shoes and haircuts etc. It is great to have everyone back in school happy and smiling, with tales of their summer holiday adventures.
A big well done to staff for working so hard settling all the new starters, by Friday everyone was a familiar face. We also welcome Mrs Sharon Cox who is giving a little extra support. We look forward to a very busy and productive autumn term, we have been setting lots of dates already!
