What a lovely week exploring Africa in Nannerch! We were thankful to David for providing an African drumming, dance and singing workshop to all of our pupils. This was full of vibrancy and rhythm. It was obvious from the children’s smiles that they had enjoyed the day. The juniors with the help from Miss Douggie created a fantastic performance. The dancers showed their African energy with little Grace as the shining star! A big well done to Tilly and Magnus on the vocals! This was a super example of our new curriculum being embraced demonstrating enterprising and creative contributors alongside healthy, confident individuals.
Thank you to you all for coming along and supporting this event. The only way to follow this was a coffee and cake fundraiser for Macmillan. The array of cakes was enough to make our delivery man cancel his next order! A big thank you to those who contributed by sending in cakes and donations. We raised a wonderful amount of £180 which will increase with gift aid. Mrs John is looking forward to engaging with our pupils in setting up our new school council and committees so watch this space. We are looking forward to welcoming our community to the launch of the Nannerch Digital Trail on Tuesday 1st October 6.30pm. Remember to download the app for North East Wales if you have a smart phone. Please come along! Have a lovely weekend everyone.
