Notes from the Head 17th May

Another busy week at Nannerch VC. Phew the computerised tests are nearly done! The sun is still shining so that we can enjoy all the lovely grounds.

It has been very exciting with so much ‘water’ based independent learning coming into school. A big well done to the staff on engaging with the new curriculum. The pupils are certainly fired up for their learning. I also have to give parents a mention too, as they have obviously worked hard at supporting the children. We have even had a scale model of the Mariana Trench – very intricate!

Mrs Biddle is always a star at making sure I don’t miss anything – she brought Jack through to show me his presentation, ‘A Sailor’s Viewpoint’, which was a poetic description of the places he visited in Scotland with some wonderful photographs.

I also have the pleasure of taking year 6 profiles to Moderation meetings on Friday. This is where work is shared with other ‘cluster’ teachers and representatives from the Alun School

and GwE. The work is a credit to the pupils and to Mrs Pierce. I am looking forward to sharing all that they have achieved in Welsh and English with other professionals.
