Well, it is the final half term of the school year! Hasn't time flown!
We have started the half term with some lovely events. Year 3 and 4 have shared some of their best bits:
This week we had Croeso Pawb, usually we do this in church but this time we did it in school. Parents and Grandparents came and some children performed a short play in their dressing gowns! It was all about the Pentecost which is the birthday of the Christian churcg. This happened become the disciples shared the story of when Jesus' Holy Spirit entered their bodies.
Later in the week we planned our performance all about the adventures of Rosie Swale Pope. We were put into groups of three and had to carefully read Rosie's diary entry to be able to share her experiences. We are really looking forward to recording our performance using a green screen next week.
In mathematics we have been measuring the perimeter of chocolate bars! The perimeter is the shortest distance around a shape. We had to estimate the distance, measuring carefully to the nearest millimeter, convert cm to mm and calculate the perimeter using column addition or the 4 times tables.
We were able to get some practice in for Sport Day which next Wednesday. We did some throwing, to throw a ball really far you should release the ball when your arm is at the highest point. Also we did tennis ball on a spoon, it was hard because the ball was very wobbly.
On Friday Nercwys came to Nannerch to do some sports with us. We all felt happy and excited to do sports together. The sports were rounders and football.
Both schools visited the church to see the stations all about the Lord's prayer. It was a lovely way to end the week, reflecting on God as a Father, a King, a provider and a forgiver.
