A super week beginning with sports day! How lovely it was to have our whole school community back together again after 3 years waiting for sports day! It is hard to believe that our last sports day with everyone coming together was in 2019. A big thank you to everyone who came and supported their children and friends. Everyone in school had worked hard to ensure the afternoon was well planned and that our pupils were going to get the best out of it.
It was so good seeing smiling faces and sheer determination with every race. Thank you to our PTA organising the ice cream van at the end of the day, what a lovely treat for everyone!
We have certainly missed all these community events over the past 3 years and we are so glad that normality is resuming. During our full Governors meeting this week we discussed holding a community evening which will be an opportunity for us to present with you our new Curriculum for Wales. This Curriculum has been designed by our federation and we are looking forward to sharing this with you in September.
Classes have been busy continuing with their topics and Mrs Wright has kindly been coming in to work with our pupils on the School of Sanctuary project. Pupils have been creating pom-poms and crochet decorations to show how our school is a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. We proudly show a welcoming culture for refugees and people seeking asylum.
Thank you to Mrs Wright for supporting us with this.
Class blogs will be shared next week. We wish everyone a lovely weekend and I hope the sun continues to shine!
