Nannerch is a lovely school to work in, but even more so in the summer term. Everyone has been making the most of all the outdoor space available. We all take it for granted sometimes, I am very lucky as both schools have a fantastic outdoor area. I was showing some prospective parents around and it was lovely to see their reaction to the wonderful space we have.
It was Key Stage 2’s turn this week to visit Wepre Park. Nannerch and Nercwys were sharing a bus once again, and the children in both settings were excited, as this was also an opportunity to mix with their new friends. Everyone was dressed for the occasion, and enjoyed putting their maths skills into practice by measuring the river depth etc.
Foundation Phase are continuing with the story of ‘The Rainbow Fish’, and are on the lookout for sea creatures. They have also been outdoors creating with the easels and with the chalks. Their Maths topic for this weeks has been fractions – no doubt they will be putting this to good use by trying to ensure a larger fraction of a pizza or a cake! They are looking forward to going to the Forest School this afternoon.
Key stage 2 pupils have been trying to secure a place in the cricket team for the Dragon Sports tournament. The pupils all had a fantastic time as always.
