We've had a busy but fantastic few weeks. The chocolate challenge has kept the children engaged and keen to learn. Using their creative, literacy and oracy skills each group was able to present their new brand in a persuasive and enticing way. We ALL enjoyed the taste session too, delicious! How could these bars not be on public sale?
Continuing with our topic we have made African masks using modroc, very messy, and are now painting them with our designs. We also really enjoyed tie dying t-shirts and cotton bags ready for the Christmas fayre.
Everybody contributed to making our gorgeous advent wreath, a seasonal reminder for all.
Well done to all the children for the fantastic performances on Tuesday and Wednesday, they were wonderful, so many songs to learn, they made a superb effort.
The Christmas Fayre was a great success too, thank you to all the helpers. The children in years 5 & 6 had made cinnamon Rudolphs, cone tree decorations, bags and t-shirts and put together a 'Trash or Treasure' table. Years 3 & 4 had been busy making bracelets, tree decorations, gingerbread men and games. Foundation Phase had also been busy making tree decorations, bird feeders, bracelets and labels. Not forgetting the best part, a visit to see Father Christmas.
Still lots to look forward to next week before the Christmas break. Enjoy.
