A busy week to finish before the break. We have had two outings, the first to St.Asaph Cathedral, the second a walk up Penycloddiau. It was great to take the bus with our friends from Nercwys and enjoy the splendour of the Cathedral. We were warmly met by the lovely volunteers and had a wonderful day of stories, acting, ringing bells (Megan's favourite) and Magnus loved listening to the organ. Some of us also had a go at playing the organ, what a wonderful sound. Callum Mac was surprised at how big it was.
The weather was kind to us on our walk up Penycloddiau, it was nice to see all the children enjoying themselves. Megan said she enjoyed rolling in the heather and Rowan was pleased to get to the top. We heard the distinctive song of the Chiff Chaff and the skylark and the views were amazing. When we got back to school the children drew a journey map and wrote their experiences in verse. So creative.
We have also managed to fit in maths (addition and subtraction this week), guided reading, presentations on our homework, P.E. and tests. Enjoy the holiday.
