A lovely week with a lot of discovery and investigation! After hearing a wonderful story full of adventure called, The Journey by Neil Griffiths, we designed and created our own little boat. Mrs John asked us to decide the best material which would float and to think about the design. We were all given a sailor to put in our boats and had a super time planning and making them.
When we tested them we realised some materials and designs were better than others! We were then given a task of sinking or capsizing our boats. Bea’s boat won as we couldn’t sink it! Alice’s boat took 80 cubes before it capsized! It was so much fun!
Croeso Pawb was lovely as usual. This terms theme was Pentecost. We explored a variety of activities which represented fire and wind which is how Jesus communicated with his disciples. The junior pupils performed for us and we all sang to our parents. The cake at the end was yummy! Thank you Mr and Mrs Wright!
We had a good practice of our sports day events and we are looking forward to next Wednesday.
Nursery loved hearing all about Daisy Duck’s adventures this week with Gwyn. We are very proud of how well Nursery are listening and trying very hard! Da iawn pawb.
Forest School was refreshing in the rain! We did a bare foot walk which was Alice’s suggestion! Miss Douggie read us a story called Stanley’s Stick and we made fishing rods out of sticks, just like Stanley!
We are looking forward to our Celebration Service in the Cathedral on Monday and then Sports Day on Wednesday.
Have a lovely weekend!
