A glorious week making the most of continuous provision outdoors. Nursery have loved exploring bubbly water and foam in the messy play! Filling and emptying with accuracy has been fun.
Pupils have worked together collaboratively to build a boat outside out of boxes and one group of pupils created a beach.
Thank you to everyone for the homework presentation engagement! What a treat it was to hear and watch informative and fun demonstrations of water facts. Pupils have made models, posters, films, pictures, sculptures, animations, experiments and fact files. We have been so impressed with the standard of oracy which has been developed through this work, so a big well done!
Story writing has begun and pupils are working hard to remember sentence structures, punctuation and interesting content.
In Numeracy we are continuing to develop our understanding of capacity and using litres and millilitre.
Yr 2 were lucky enough to go with the juniors from Nercwys and Nannerch to explore the cathedral in St Asaph. Friendships were made and they had a lot of fun learning all about our cathedral.
We had a special treat in Mrs John’s Service this week as Peter, Tilly and Rowan performed a song for us. Peter played his guitar, Rowan played the drum and Tilly sang. It was very special.
After half term Forest School will begin and P.E will continue outdoors.
Have a lovely half term!
