Branwen 17th May

We have enjoyed learning our new story, ‘Billy’s Bucket’ through retelling this with actions and expression. We began recording this in a story map which will help us next week begin writing the story!

Mrs Biddle has helped us create a beautiful display about the water cycle and we have worked hard to design and create important features.

We have continued to measure our rain water and we discovered that the water collected was lower after it had been very sunny! This proves the process of evaporation! We collected the data on a class chart throughout the week and then recorded this individually. A great Numeracy task!

in PE we have enjoyed continuing developing control over small apparatus. We used cones to run around quickly and then used footballs to dribble around. We aimed beanbags and balls into a variety of hoops and buckets. Pupils decided to score depending on the most difficult hoops, da iawn pawb!

Pupils enjoyed discussing with their talking partners different uses of water. We came up with great suggestions and recorded them into raindrops.

We are very excited receiving the pupils homework! What a huge effort and wonderful parental engagement! Next week pupils will take turns to present their homework to their class. This will be a worthwhile process for the pupils to gain confidence in speaking confidently to an audience. We will also find out what has been researched and leant throughout the project. Thank you everyone!

We had a lovely service from Mrs Meaden which was all about friendship and working together.

A reminder that Branwen pupils do need their PE kits in school and their lesson is on Wednesdays. Forest School will begin after half term and a letter will go out next week to confirm the day and start date.

Have a lovely weekend!
