Notes from the Head:
As we come towards the end of term, I would like to thank the whole of Nannerch community for the support you all give to our lovely school. Our school community gives so much and everyone goes over and above to ensure our pupils receive the best.
Our Foundation Phase concert was wonderful, the pupils sang out and supported each other! Thank you to our juniors choir, we enjoyed you being part of our performance.
Thank you to Haf for playing the piano for our choir, it is lovely being able to have past pupils back to support the next generation! PTA you did it again providing yummy mince pies and mulled wine! The army of helpers who stayed behind after the concert to remove the stage were true stars!
Our trip to Storyhouse was a real treat. Ysgol Nercwys joined us and we really enjoyed Toto on the stage!
A big thank you Janice for cooking such a wonderful Christmas lunch! We all enjoyed it and thank you to Shan for helping us all day and my fabulous team for helping wash up, serve and clean up. It was all hands on deck!
We are really looking forward to our Junior Christmas concert in church next Wednesday. Please come to Church 6pm for a 6.30pm start.
Don’t forget we finish on Thursday 20th December and pupils return to school on 8th January.
From all of us in Ysgol Nannerch we wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
News from our Classes
Mrs John's class: Branwen
We are very proud of ourselves after performing ‘The Nativity’ on Tuesday. We sang our little hearts out and we enjoyed sharing our story with you all.
On Wednesday we went on our Christmas trip to the Storyhouse to see The Wizard of Oz! It was amazing and we loved Toto, a real dog actor!
Thursday we enjoyed a yummy Christmas lunch cooked by Janice and we presented her with a lovely bouquet of flowers to say thank you.
Mrs John read her favourite Christmas story to us in the afternoon after we all had some of Mr Owen’s Christmas Chocolate house!
Although we are having a lot of fun we remain focused on our class activities! Miss Williams is very pleased with our stories, we have been editing them using our new ‘flip and a flap’ approach. We will continue and finish these before Christmas.
We look forward to our last week before breaking up for our holiday and we wish you all a very merry Christmas.
