11th April

A wonderful last week of term full of fun and learning in Nannerch! Croeso Pawb was during the morning and focused on the stations of the cross depicting the Easter Story to our junior pupils. Thank you Mr and Mrs Wright and everyone who helped make this event so special and meaningful.

Congratulations to our Netball team for taking part in the Flintshire Small Schools Netball festival! Thank you Miss Douggie, Miss Roberts and Shan for taking our pupils and all the training that has been done after school.

Our Yr 6 boys planned an Easter egg hunt for the whole school and created maps and clues for everyone to follow! Diolch boys!

Yr 3 and 4 have been investigating a crime since a celebratory cake had gone missing from school on Wednesday. Many Numeracy clues and detectives have been busy around the school, however, I’m not sure they found the culprit!

Foundation Phase have worked hard this week on their apparatus in P.E. They worked applying their gymnastics body schooling movements onto small and large apparatus.

We had a lovely event joining with Nercwys to their bingo and Easter Egg hunt. We had a lovely time making friends, thank you!

I would like to take this opportunity to say what a privilege it has been to lead our lovely school community As Acting Headteacher. Our Governors have worked very hard ensuring a smooth transition into Federation which will be official on the 29th April. Mrs Meaden will be our new Headteacher from this date forward and I am sure you will all join me in welcoming her into our school community.

Our first day back as the Nantlwys Federation sees our Junior pupils joining together at Kingswood residential. We are really looking forward to this trip!

I do hope everyone has a lovely Easter break.
